横浜ＦＣのＦＷカズが今季年俸から1000万円ダウンの3000万円で来季の契約を結んだそうです。
それにしてもカズはどこまで走り続けるのでしょうか？サッカーの選手寿命は世界的に見ても、30歳前半くらいまでで40歳近くまで現役でいる選手は稀です。前日本代表監督のジーコは確か44歳くらいまで日本でプレーしていますが、それでも一度は引退してからJ1のために復帰してのプレーでした。
現在のカズはJ2でのプレーですが、そのスタイルは20代の頃と変わりなく、ひたすらホイッスルがなるまで全力を尽くします。まさに「キング」。これからも素晴らしいプレーを見せてください。
